CartoPac Server Configuration
Server Friendly Name
The friendly name of the Server will appear in CartoPac Slide and the About Page and may be used in CWM Email Notifications to identify what environment a notification is from.
Cache Directory
CartoPac Server stores all Solutions, uploaded projects, and various settings in the Cache Directory (also called the Cache Root). A new directory may be created and configured as in cases when CartoPac may be installed on a drive other than C:\.
If the Cache Directory is changed in the CartoPac Server configuration menu, it must also be set in the CartoPac.FieldServer.Web.config file, and the CartoPacServer Service must be restarted.
Number of Solution Instances to Cache
CartoPac Server establishes a single set of cached connections for each Studio Solution. Caching the connection improves performance when downloading a project. When multiple users download projects at the same time, a second set of connections for a Studio Solution is opened and cached. By default, up to 5 connections may be cached allowing for 5 different users to download projects simultaneously before lining up additional users in a queue.
Checkout ArcGIS License
CartoPac Studio Solutions using ArcObjects connections require ArcGIS Server be installed and licensed and ArcGIS Desktop be installed (not licensed) on the same server. Refer to System Requirements for CartoPac v10 for more information.
Check the box to ensure that the CartoPac Server Service is able to successfully utilize the licensing from ArcGIS Server, and the 32 bit ArcObjects from ArcGIS Desktop in order to establish valid connections in the CartoPac Studio Solution(s).
Enable Basic Map
CartoPac Server may display a Web Map from ArcGIS Online so that data may be viewed on a map. Check the box to enable the Web Map.
Solutions Path
CartoPac Server stores all published CartoPac Studio Solutions in the Solutions Directory, also called the Solution Cache. A Solutions folder is created within the Cache Directory on the Server.
Project Cache Path
CartoPac Server stores all uploaded CartoPac Mobile Projects in the Project Cache (a directory that stores mobile projects, uploaded by mobile users). After being uploaded to the Project Cache, a record of the merged project is stored in the CP_PROJECTS table (refer to Users and Roles for more information).
