Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) Survey
DCVG locates indications of pipeline coating defects. The software records the voltage gradient and GPS location for further review and analysis later. DCVG collects data from data canes connected to the DVM.
DCVG Survey measures voltage using the digital voltmeter (DVM).
After completing the survey, you can transfer it to your computer via a USB connection, by emailing the file, or with a file transfer service like Dropbox. Survey files can then be imported into PCS. Refer to Import Survey Files to PCS 2.1 for more information.
DCVG survey files can be set to be automatically save, or you can manually save them. Surveys are saved to the internal storage/Android/data/com.aiworldwide.ai/files/DCVG/ folder on Android devices, or the Files/On My iPad/PCS FDC/Files/DCVG/ folder on iOS devices. To set Autosave, refer to Set DCVG Options.
To open the DCVG Survey module, tap DCVG Survey from the PCSField Data Collector app home window.
