Install Selectable Current Transducer

An optional selectable current transducer can be installed on an existing Polarized Cell Replacement (PCR) during the installation of an RM4210 or RM4250 unit. Refer to Install an RM4210 or RM4250 for additional instructions on installing the RM4210 or RM4250 with a current transducer.

Complete the following steps to install a selectable current transducer:

  1. Wire the selectable current transducer to the two open screw terminals on the unit's 8-pin terminal connector. Polarity is the same for the current transducer as for the PCR.

  2. Select the setting on the selectable current transducer selector switch to greater than the current maximum output on the PCR. For example, if the maximum PCR current is 55 amps, set the selectable current transducer selector switch to 60.
