Linking Maintenance and Inspection Records

PCS 2.0 will now link inspection records with their related maintenance records when imported from a Field Computer, as well as linking maintenance records with their follow-up inspection records. This means you can find maintenance items related to a specific inspection record without manually matching Inspection dates with Repair Found dates. When a survey file contains both an inspection record and a maintenance record for the same site, those records are considered related and PCS will automatically link the inspection and maintenance records. If open maintenance records were sent to the field computer, the new inspection record created for the same site will be linked to the maintenance record.

A Linked Maintenance Count field is available in the Inspection grid for quick insight into which inspection records have linked maintenance records, a new Maintenance Links mini-grid has been added to the Inspection grid, and an Inspection Links mini-grid has been added to the Maintenance grid. When a record is selected in the Inspection or Maintenance grid, the linked records can be reviewed immediately without switching grids.
