Personal Geodatabase Connections

An ArcGIS Personal Geodatabase is built with ArcGIS Software and stored in an access database with a .mdb file extension.

Complete the following steps to connect to a Personal Geodatabase within CartoPac Studio's Solution Explorer window:

  1. Right-click on Databases and select Add > Personal Geodatabase.

    2. Because a Personal Geodatabase is built with ArcGIS Software, a CartoPac Solution file requires an ESRI Licensing level of at least Reader to establish a connection.  If features are to be collected in a Personal Geodatabase, then a CartoPac Solution will require an ESRI Licensing level of at least Editor, which can be set at the time the solution is created.

  2. Browse to the appropriate location of the Personal Geodatabase and select it to add the database to the list of database connections.
