User Management Configuration

The User Management configuration menu allows the Authentication Provider to be selected and Administrative Users added to the system.

The CartoPacServer Service must be started and the System Data Tables (refer to Create System Data) must exist before a connection may be established.

Click the Open database scripts folder button and use the appropriate script to Create System Data tables.

Refer to Service Controller for information on how to start the service.

Authentication Provider

CartoPac Server allows either an Internal or Windows Authentication Provider to be selected. Refer to CartoPac Server Log On Methods for more information.

Trusted Token GenerationKey

The Trusted Token GenerationKey is first created in the UserManagement.config file when the CartoPac Server Service is first started.

The token key must be copied into the <Value> node of the Web.config file.

Existing Administrators

Administrative users are entered in the Existing Administrators area. A User entered as an administrative user in the User Management configuration menu will be given the override_has_all permission in CartoPac Server.
