Component Services - Computer Properties

Complete the following steps to access Computer Properties window to edit access permissions and then launch and activate permissions.

  1. Open a Command Prompt as an administrator.

  3. Use the following command to pen Component Services:

  4. dcomcnfg -32

    dcomcnfa -32 Command

  5. Expand Component Services and right-click on Computers. Select Properties.

  7. To edit access permissions, in the My Computer Properties window, click the COM Security tab and then click Edit Default.

  8. Ensure the Local Access permission for low level domain service account has the Allow check box enabled.

  9. Click OK to return to the My Computer Properties window.

  10. To edit the Launch and Activation Permissions, click Edit Default under the Launch and Activation Permissions section.

  11. Click Edit Default in the Launch and Activation Permissions section.

  12. Ensure both the Local Launch and Local Activation permissions for the low level domain service account have their respective Allow check boxes enabled.

  13. Click OK to return to the My Computer Properties window.

  14. Click Apply or OK to close the window.
