Before Installing an RM4010, RM4014, or RM4014S
Only accessories that meet American Innovation's specifications may be used with the RM4010, RM4014, or RM4014S.
Use the following items as a checklist prior to installing the RM4010, RM4014, or RM4014S:

For information regarding safety symbols found on the unit, refer to Safety and Equipment Symbols.

American Innovations recommends using AI part number 211061-000 (Belden 5308UE), or an equivalent cable, for wiring inputs. Refer to Technical Specifications for the technical specifications for this wiring.

Ensure the installation area provides enough room to easily open the enclosure. Once installation is finished, the enclosure must be opened to configure the unit.

Is the latest version of Bullhorn Tools installed on the computer you plan to use during the installation? Refer to Configuration Overview for more information.

To ensure uninterrupted service, the location you plan to install the satellite terminal must meet the following qualifications:

The area must be clear of all obstructions such as buildings, trees, and hills.

The satellite terminal must have a clear line-of-sight facing the sky to the south.

The satellite terminal must be installed at least two (2) feet above the solar panel to prevent signal interference during data transmissions.
