RADIO LED Light

Under normal conditions the RADIO LED will blink red while it tries to acquire a signal from the satellite. The light then turns green (and remains green) to indicate that it is registered to a cellular signal, and that the unit is ready to send packets.

If the RADIO LED light does not perform as usual, the light may indicate a possible problem with acquiring a signal or that there is an issue with the unit itself (no DC power). The following conditions may indicate an issue with either the cellular signal or the unit.

  1. The LED light is blinking red — the unit hasn’t acquired a cellular signal; unit is not connected to DC power.

  2. The LED light is a solid red — the unit hasn’t acquired a cellular signal; DC power is OK.

  3. The LED light is blinking green — the unit has registered a cellular signal; unit is not connected to DC power.

  4. The LED light is a solid green — the radio has registered a cellular signal; DC power is OK.

NOTES:

  • If the light is blinking either green or red - check the power source and/or the DC Input connection to the unit to ensure that power is being applied to the unit. Once power has been restored to the unit, the light will blink for several minutes before turning a solid color.

  • If DC power is not restored, the light will blink for 10 minutes or until the battery is dead. The light then turns off.

  • If DC power is not restored and the unit is connected to a computer through a USB cable, the light will blink until the USB cable is disconnected or until the battery is dead. The light then turns off.

  • Battery status can be checked through Bullhorn Tools or the Bullhorn Web account.
