How to Install the USB Driver
To configure your remote monitoring unit, you will need to install the following applications:
-
Universal Configuration Toolkit (UCT) or Bullhorn Tools (depending on unit type)
-
USB Driver for Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000
These applications are available for download from the Downloads section.
After installing the applications, connect your remote monitoring unit to your computer via a USB cable. The configuration application should be able to locate your unit. You will then be able to configure the remote monitoring unit for service.
If the UCT application is unable to find your device, the USB driver may not have installed properly. To install the USB driver directly from the executable (.exe) file, follow the steps below:
-
Open the SI Labs folder on your computer.
-
Double-click the executable file for the USB drive (for example: CP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.exe).
-
Follow the prompts to install the driver.
-
Open the UCT application again with the remote monitoring unit attached to your computer. The Find Devices window should display your unit name.
