APM4AM-SAT: Unable to Send a Test Packet

Why can’t I send a test packet on an APM4AM SAT?

 

1. One of the first four channels may not be active. The unit only sends in data for the first four channels on a test packet. If none of these channels are active, the unit will not have any data to send.

2. The battery may be too low. The battery needs to be over 10.8 volts DC to transmit a data packet.

3. The satellite terminal dish may be pointing in the wrong direction. Reposition the terminal dish and resend a test packet.

4. The antenna cable, radio, or control board may be bad. You may need to send the unit in for repair. Contact AI Support for more information.
