How to Resolve Connection Issues Between the Allegro and Your Computer
If you have problems connecting your Allegro to your computer, try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem(s):

Verify you are running the latest version of the Allegro software. The most recent version of Allegro is version 7.2.

Restart your Allegro MX to ensure the correct services are running.

Check all connections between your PC and the Allegro device.
If your Allegro is not in a dock, make sure you are using a micro-USB cable that transfers data and that the connections between the computer, the micro-USB cable, and the Allegro are secure.
If your Allegro is in a dock, check:

The dock is receiving 12 volts with 1 amps of power from the charging cable

The USB cable has a secure connection to both the PC and the dock

The Allegro is sitting in the dock securely

Enable Advanced Network Functionality on the Allegro or, if it's already enabled, disable and then re-enable Advanced Network Functionality.
Advanced Network Functionality is required when using the Microsoft SMB Protocol

If the computer you are using to connect to the Allegro has Windows 10 operating system on it and Windows Mobile Device Center is installed, download and run the WMDC Fixes for Windows 10 installer.

If the computer you are using to connect to the Allegro doesn't have Windows Mobile Device Center on it, contact AI Support at 1-800-229-3404 for assistance with enabling the Microsoft SMB protocol on your computer.
