How to Install and Position Satellite Dish for RM4000 Series

Bullhorn geo-synchronous satellite units (RM4000 series and older unit types ending in -SAT) have a satellite auto-switch selection feature that will automatically select the satellite with the best signal. These satellites are generally over the equator with one being along 98 degrees latitude (south of Austin, TX) and the other along 65 degrees latitude (south of Puerto Rico). For the best signal strength, orient your satellite terminal generally in these directions.

  1. Determine proper orientation of satellite terminal for good signal strength.

  2. Mount satellite terminal on angle bracket. Mount to pole or other structure.

  3. Loosen screws on angle bracket and tilt terminal until it is at required angle (holes line up at degree mark). Tighten screws.

  4. Connect satellite terminal to connector on bottom of unit enclosure.

  5. Use Bullhorn Tools to verify satellite signal strength.
